Wow Jane some heartfelt words from your daughters... Annie"s does not really surprise me. thinking back on her remarks at maybe age 3, concerning me as her babysitter. I know you must feel the love from their glowing attributes.
Jane, she’s a child prodigy. A nine year old writing that? It’s more than just inheriting your talent. This at her age is staggering talent. Is she in a gifted program? Getting some kind of tutoring for her writing? I hope so! You may remember that my daughter was in the highly gifted program. MIT PhD at 25. Wow Annie is definitely writing way beyond her age and most people of any age.
Wow - thank you, Vanessa. She did get accepted to the county gifted program, but the stupid district does a lottery and she didn’t get a space (because apparently enrichment is only for the lucky). I remember your daughter’s talent - you must be incredibly proud! I’m bowled over by Annie - not just her writing, but her deep love of poetry (although she wants to be a NASA engineer when she grows up).
Kids. Never a dull moment. And the brightest ones- like obviously Annie- not easy to guide them. They have direction of their own. NASA -okay NASA needs poets too. Lolol. Hong on Mom, you’re up for quite a ride. Like my Clio, she’s a comet. All we can do is hold on and try to prevent them from burning so hot they extinguish themselves ❤️

What lovely& perfect Mother’s Day gifts.
Thank you for helping Vee with the birds! 💜
Jane, How beautiful, let me understand- did Annie compose, write her note on her own? Or is this something she found and copied to share with you?
It is her original poem for me!

Also, I just read her your comment - it was the happiest I’ve seen her in as long as I can remember. Thank you, friend.
